Imagine what it would look like if Rita Hayworth or Lauren Bacall had discovered country music.
Melbourne noir-country singers Kelly Day and Jane Hendry, also known as Broads, might just embody that fantastical combination.
The two-piece is gaining support after a string of live gigs and festival performances, and is now touring with new single, Nod Off, Dream from upcoming album Vacancy.
The two singers are former members of vocal group The Nymphs, known for their a cappella performances on Spicks and Specks, The Marngrook Footy Show and RocKwiz.
When the group broke up, Day and Hendry decided to create their own act.
Broads will perform November 13 at The Eastern.
