The Mounties were appreciative of East Ballarat for allowing Thomson an opportunity to line-up alongside his brother Darcy. Thomson has been making inroads at national level having represented victory in the Cricket Australia Futures League (under-23’s) as well as facing up to the South African attack in a tour match.
Golden Point will also welcome a marquee player to its side for its match against Dunnstown.
Former West Indies test player Brenton Parchment will line-up for the Pointies on Tuesday. Parchment played two tests for the West Indies and seven one-day internationals. The 34-year-old did not enjoy great success at international level, but showed his prowess regularly with the bat at first-class level. Producing four centuries and 13 50’s in his 67 matches with a high score of 168.
