The inaugural White Night Ballarat will take place next year on Saturday, March 4, following Melbourne on Saturday, February 18.
Local, national and international artists, musicians and performers will reimagine and transform Ballarat for 12 hours from sunset to sunrise in a celebration of culture and creativity.
The event will involve installation, lighting, exhibitions, street performances, film, music, dance and interactive events.
Originally a celebration of the summer solstice, the festival is held in cities around the world. In Melbourne it attracts over 500,000 people.
