Dressed to festive-impress, pooches across the city gathered the pack for a howlin’ Christmas party at the Wendouree off-leash dog park.
Wendouree Dog Squad member Frank Hinde said it was about spreading the word how fun and social the Dowling Street facility was for dogs and their owners.
Ballarat mayor Samantha McIntosh said it was intriguing to see so many dogs dressed up and playing so well together in the Christmas spirit.
“It’s a great park, a great facility and great to see so many people caring about dog obedience,” Cr McIntosh said.
“Council is considering similar facilities in other parts of the city. It’s really nice for us to see how this is working and listening to their experiences.”
Dog lovers formed Facebook page, The Wendouree Dog Squad, to keep in touch and promote the park for dogs who love some off-leash play time and social interaction.
