Rory Elliott hasn’t let 16 surgeries over his lifetime deter him from his studies.
Or from his ambitions.
Born without the fibular bone in either leg, an underdeveloped left arm and no proper ankle joint, Rory has never let his medical treatments deter him from his studies – or from compiling an impressive bucket list.
With an excellent VCE score of 95.8, Rory can now look towards his next goal of becoming an astrophysicist by completing an arts/physics degree at Swinburne University.
“But I also want to be a film maker, an author, an illustrator and a game maker,” he said.
Rory’s subjects at Ballarat Clarendon College included english, maths methods, art, physics and Japanese – with plans to continue his study of the language he loves.
“I tried to write down all the study plans for the various days.
“I worked on how to study effectively.”
Rory said his VCE year had been “very reasonable” in relation to his health which had allowed to “get on with the important stuff”.
