HOPE: Suganthini and Neelavanna Paramanathan with their daughters.
Ballarat Rural Australians for Refugees is urging the community to write letters of support for a local Tamil refugee family to help them secure a peaceful life.
Neelavanna and Suganthini Paramanathan and their three daughters Nive, 4, Nivash, 8, and Kartie, 6, have lived in Ballarat for more than three years but face deportation back to Sri Lanka.
Ballarat RAR hopes to pass on 250 letters to the family’s lawyer to be presented in a bundle to the Immigration and Border Protection Minister. The tally so far is 177 letters.
