The Business Industry Monitor has indicated a 31 per cent increase in visitation in November compared to 2015, with bed and breakfasts, hotels and motels all recording increases in occupancy.
It also indicated a 112 per cent increase in visitation to the Art Gallery of Ballarat in November year-on-year, with more than 59,000 art lovers drawn to the Archibald Prize during its six-week stay in Ballarat.
Key events over the period included the Ballarat Gardens in Spring, SpringFest, the Ballarat Show, Ballarat Cup and Good Food Month.
