Head coach Travis Hewish said the young Miners were coming together nicely.
“We have lots of new faces around the team and some bright up-and-coming players.
“We’ve had a long pre-season so it will be great to get out there and start the season.”
The Miners, which had their last warm-up outings in the Ballarat senior tournament at the weekend, meet Hume City in youth league one men at 7.45pm in a doubleheader with Rush.
The girls meet Dandenong Rangers at 6pm in the second phase of the youth championship women’s opening round.
Rush started its campaign with a 74-59 loss to Bendigo at the annual Big V tournament at the weekend.
Taylah Wynne led the scoring with 15 points.
