Kyle Sinclair was due to face the County Court sitting in Ballarat on Thursday but the court heard he died on Tuesday.
The court heard the coroner’s office will review Sinclair’s death, including the police file of evidence, with a notice of discontinuance expected to be filed before Justice Mullaly on April 24.
Sinclair was committed to stand trial on September 27 last year after evidence was given he had allegedly physically and mentally abused one of his victims for four years from the time he was 10.
