Andrea Blake drove an hour with her grandson with food for the Great Moscow Circus workers who have been out of the job since Tuesday, when they were told the circus organiser had gone into liquidation.
The circus’ four Ballarat shows were cancelled, along with the remainder of the national tour.
“Anzac biscuits just keep forever and are good with a cup of tea and the fruit, I thought the fruit is beautiful local produce – if it doesn’t get eaten, it can go to the animals,” Mrs Blake said.
Mrs Blake said she would return on Friday morning with homemade meat pies.
“We’ve always had exchange students with us. I have children out there all around the world and there’s always someone, when they get stuck, there to help them so I think we should always return that.”
