White finished ahead of Jeremy McInnes and also recorded the fastest time in the prestigious Blampied-based 85km event.
Although conditions suited frontmarkers, White led the charge from the back and with most of the field together with 15km to go the handicap turned into a tactical battle.
While a series of attacks failed to get away, the peloton eventually broke up in the closing kilometres and it was the class of White which rose to the top.
White, who is preparing for another National Road Series, will back up in the Melbourne to Ballarat road race on Saturday, which will this year finish in Buninyong.
