Police say the sheep managed to push through a gate at the stockyards at 6am, heading east towards Trekardo Park in Redan.
Police were called to assist stockyard staff in controlling traffic as well as rounding up the sheep.
It took more than an hour for all the sheep to be herded.
The sheep have all been accounted for and none were injured.
Police are not treating the incident as suspicious.
