It was a tough start for the out-of-sorts Ballarat GMHBA Miners, with the Chargers piling on the points early to lead 33-17 at the first break.
Much like the game against North-West Tasmania, the Miners fought back in the next three quarters.
But, despite winning the third and the fourth, the damage had been done in the first.
Import Davon Usher stepped up with 20 points after a quiet match against North-West Tasmania on Friday, while forward Craig Moller made his second double double of the weekend with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
The Miners remain in second position on the south conference ladder.
