On June 25 the renowned quartet, who have performed across the globe, will bring their unique sound to the intimate setting of the recently opened Lost Ones Basement Bar.
Ms Knighton said while the musicians often performed in large concert halls, she felt their music was best enjoyed in smaller settings.
“The space inspires us to be much more intimate with our music making, because it allows us to communicate with every member of the audience,” Ms Knighton said.
“We’re looking for something that may encourage people who haven’t encountered chamber music before to come into a space where it’s less formal.”
Lost Ones director Tara Poole said the new space presented an opportunity to present a new offering to the Ballarat live music scene.
“We want to have stuff down here that people can stumble across.”
The concert will take place between 2.30 and 4.30pm.
