The squad of 50 was selected following the completion of the under-18 national championships.
Caris, a ruckman in her first year of club football, and Clarke, a dynamic midfield-forward, were standout performers for Vic Country. Rebels teammate Sophie Van de Heuvel also gave a strong account of herself.
GWV Rebels talent manager Phil Partington was rapt with the girls’ achievement.
“It’s a great reward for both Rene and Georgia, who were standouts not only for the Rebels this year, but also for Vic Country,” Partington said.
“It’s a credit to the girls, their families and all that have helped the girls with their sporting aspirations thus far”
The under-18 All-Australian squad will play a curtain-raiser match to the AFL Women’s All-Stars game over the AFL’s bye week prior to the finals series. The final team will then be named.
