The department will relocate to a Mair Street facility, next to the BHS Base Hospital car park, from within the hospital on Monday morning.
BHS maternity outpatients nurse unit manager Tonia Mitchell expected the move to be a smooth transition for families.
“The new facility has easy access from Mair Street and is located in close proximity to the Base Hospital,” Ms Mitchell said.
“The same professional team will continue to offer all current services at the new location.”
BHS’ outpatient department offers a range of clinics, services and programs to support women through their pregnancy journey.
Phone and fax numbers for the maternity outpatient department will remain the same after the move.
All families with appointments at the clinic from Monday will need to attend the new location at 1011 Mair Street.
