We’ve had a few break-ins but not for more than 15 years, it frustrates you more than anything
- Skinskisurf manager Paul Byvoet
Manager Paul Byvoet said he received a call in the early hours of Friday when the shop’s security company was alerted.
“We were phoned about 2am and went in to see the carnage, security and police were already there,” he said.
“They stole all our ski jackets and snow hoodies.
“It would be around $15,000 worth of goods stolen.
“We’ve had a few break-ins but not for more than 15 years, it frustrates you more than anything.”
Mr Byvoet said the offenders had smashed their way in through the back door.
But he was at a loss to explain how they removed the padlock.
The theft of jackets has dealt a big blow to the store as customers shop for winter clothes.
Ballarat police have launched an investigation into the incident.
