Ballarat mountain bike rider Darcy Coutts has been selected in the Australian Junior Downhill Team for the World Championships.

Coutts rode extremely well in May’s national championships, finishing second, which allowed him to automatically qualify for the team.
Coutts’ mum, Trish, said the World Championships was the “holy grail” for downhill mountain bike riders and she was extremely proud of Darcy’s achievements.
Coutts is currently in Canada competing in the UCI World Cup, he is expected to return home this week.
In the lead up to the world championships, a number of the squad will attend a four-day training camp in Cairns with national team staff.
The World Championships will be held in Cairns on September 5-10.
