The top three teams in the South East Australian Basketball League eastern conference all finished on 16 wins, with Saturday’s opponent Hobart boasting the best percentage.
However, such is the SEABL system, the home final was handed to the side with the superior head-to-head ledger.
The Miners will be stoked to hold the match, not only from a supporter and club standpoint, but also a game standpoint given its 11-1 record at home this season.
The Miners have turned the Minerdome into a genuine home floor advantage and will be hoping that reins true on Saturday.
The Miners will enter the match injury free and raring to go off the back of three impressive victories in the lead-up to finals. When the two sides met at the Minerdome earlier this season it was Ballarat that prevailed 81 points to 76, while Hobart took the points on its home floor.
Tip-off is at 7.30pm. Tickets are still available and can be pre-purchased or at the door.
