In the 17/under seniors grand final, North Ballarat defeated Lake Wendouree by five goals, with best on court awarded to Madison Selmon.
North Ballarat coach Prue Douglas was impressed by her players’ patience into attack and perseverance in defence, and praised the team on its strong decision-making skills.
“It was an outstanding effort by all the girls, it really was a team effort because defensively they were great, through the mid court they were steady and the goalers had a big battle and they stood up strongly,” she said.
“For some of them it is now six in a row, but we have a fair few leaving the team this year so for those it’s a lovely way to finish their time at a junior club.”
Meanwhile, East Point claimed the 13/under reserves premiership and Lake Wendouree was victorious in the 13/under seniors grand final.
