Sonntag likely to finish career after Ballarat Cup start
Dwyer, who has stables at Caulfield and Ballarat, said the 2014 Queensland Derby winner would now head to the Ballarat feature on November 25 before likely being retired.
His comments came after the seven-year-old’s victory in the Ararat Gold Cup for jockey Jye McNeil.
Sunday’s triumph was Sonntag’s first since May of 2015, when he won at Flemington.
