Wendouree Parade will shut between 8am and 5pm for Springfest on Sunday next week.
Cars will be allowed to drive in a clockwise direction only, with the anti-clockwise lane saved for emergency and administrative vehicles.
Ballarat Rotary Club, which runs the Springfest, has predicted up to 30,000 people could turn out for the event.
Club representative Greg Honeyman said the event would draw a huge crowd because it was the premier spring event in Ballarat.
“There more than 500 market stalls, so based on that we have to assume it is going to be very, very big,” he said.
North Gardens Reserve will be available for parking, with an entrance from Wendouree Parade.
There will also be a shuttle bus available to people parking at Victoria Park, between 10am and 5pm. The bus will stop opposite Pet’s Corner.
