Ms Alberti has channelled her energies into diabetes fundraising and research after daughter Danielle was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and died from related complications at 32.
She has been the national president of the juvenile diabetes research foundation and founded the annual Walk for the Cure around Albert Park Lake – which has raised more than $30 million towards the search for a cure.
Ms Alberti has also been vice president of the Western Bulldogs and inaugural ambassador for the Australian Football League’s national women’s competition in 2017.
All guests are welcome to attend the dinner, which will be held at the Ballarat Golf Club on December 6 from 6.30pm.
