The Mounties are now just one step away from playing on the MCG. If it can overcome Doutta Stars on February 4, it will move into the final.
Its campaign started with a tight victory over Bendigo United.
Mt Clear made 148, set-up by Matthew Goonan’s 64 runs. Bendigo came out and played fairly well, eventually needing 11 runs off the last over with one wicket in hand.
It could only manage five as Nathan Hucker picked up the last wicket.
It then played Nyah District in the semi-final.
After restricting Nyah to 101, Darren Fletcher taking 3-8 off his four overs.
Mt Clear had no trouble chasing down the total. Nathan Yates belting an unbeaten 72 off 40 in the eight-wicket win.
