The school crews won headline races at the weekend’s Wendouree Ballarat regatta.
St Patrick’s College claimed a dominant win in the Male School Coxed Four Open Division 1 final. The crew recorded a time of 6:55.45min to beat Ballarat High School (7:14.71min) and Ballarat Grammar (7:19.35min).
Loreto College clocked 7:41.08min for the 2000m journey to win the Female School Coxed Four Open Division 1 A final.
The school defeated Grammar (7:45.08min) and Ballarat Clarendon College (8:05.25min).
Grammar topped the standings at the Saturday-Sunday event on Lake Wendouree, picking up 12 gold in a total of 23 medals.
The Ballarat Associated Schools Head of the Lake regatta is scheduled for Sunday, February 25.
