Green (seven-under) will be be paired with leader Jin Young Ko (11-under) at the Kooyonga Golf Club on Sunday.

Green, bidding to become just the fourth Australian winner of the national title, will pay some attention to Ko.

But the 21-year-old, in just her second tournament as a full LPGA Tour member, says she won't be overly focused on the South Korean.

"You have to notice what she is doing because you are chasing her," Green said.

"But you can't get so stuck into her game that you kind of drift off yours.

"Yes, you have to catch her. But if you do what you need to do and you're doing it well, then maybe she will feel the pressure and she will start to crack.

"There's lots of situations that can happen."

Green could join five-time champion Karrie Webb, Jane Crafter (1997) and Jan Stephenson (1977) as local Australian Open winners.

"I'm here to win," Green said.

"Everyone is out here to win.... I have put myself in contention so I'm very happy with how things are panning out."
