The Australian Strongman Alliance Nationals in Queensland are now a target for some competitors who ventured to Ballarat on Sunday.
A total of 35 entries from around Victoria were joined by a New South Wales visitor for a competition at CB Fitness in Wendouree.
The next step for those aiming at nationals will be Victorian qualifiers in May.
Ballarat figured prominently on Sunday with three hometown wins.
Simone Anderson and Dean Saunders took out masters events, while Nic Gray finished in top position in the open women’s category.
Shane Lonie from Bacchus March had the quicket time in the five-tonne van (fully loaded) pull of 19.5 seconds.
The day also included tyre deadlift and axle bar press.
