Alfredton Primary School is getting ready to host their 30th Annual Garden Day this Friday at the school grounds.

Pupils like John and Hayley (pictured right) and their families are have been encouraged to enter exhibits in 20 categories, including the biggest zucchini, floral saucers, flower arrangements, homemade watering cans, scarecrows, Australian plants, and even the coveted most horrible weed.
Principle Laurel Donaldson spoke with great excitement about the upcoming event.
“The seeds were planted for this event 30 years ago, and we are proud to keep the tradition alive” Mrs Donaldson said.
“Lots of fun displays are sure to sprout up throughout the school for all visitors to see,”
The event will be running from 9:30am until 3:30pm, with morning tea available.
Grandparents day will be incorporated into the garden day, with grandparents being invited into classrooms from 9:00am to 11:00am.
A raffle will be running throughout the day with lots of great prizes.
