More than 25,000 people flocked to the region for the three-day event at the weekend, with members and supporters of the LGBTI community marching down Vincent Street for a big and colourful parade on Sunday morning.
Organiser Jeandanielle Evans, or JD, said she was rapt with the turn-out.
“This year was huge and definitely the biggest parade we’ve ever had,” JD said.
“We think maybe the difference this year was marriage equality. People are now actually feeling a lot more free.
“We’re all human beings now, we can walk down the street holding our partner’s hand – Australia voted for that.”
