Jonathon Kent - leaving Melton South after a brief stay

Key forward Jonathon Kent’s short stay with Melton South in the Ballarat Football League is over.

He is returning to his former Essendon District league club Greenvale after joining the Panthers mid-season last year.

Kent’s move to Melton South from Riddell District club Lancefield allowed him to reunite with coaching panel member Ash Manning as the Panthers took a shot at playing finals.

They had spent time together at Greenvale, Glenroy, Tullamarine and Lancefield as he developed into a prolific goalkicker.

Melton South recruited him to bolster its attack, but he managed just 10 goals in six games playing alongside spearhead Brendan Fevola, who has Manning as his co-coach this year.
