Clinton, the 42nd president, congratulated Tiger Woods for being named US captain for the 2019 Presidents Cup golf tournament before pondering whether to make the trip to Royal Melbourne Golf Club.
"Maybe I can convince #43 and #44 to join me in cheering you on in person again next year!" the former president tweeted on Wednesday.
To much fanfare, the three most recently retired presidents attended the opening day of the 2017 tournament at Liberty National in New York.
The moment wasn't lost on Phil Mickelson who snapped a selfie with the trio before his match.
Sitting president and golf enthusiast Donald Trump also arrived on the final day, in time to present the cup to the dominant American team.
But despite Royal Melbourne's standing as one of the best courses in the world, the 45th president is unlikely to drop in next year.
A sitting president has never attended a Presidents Cup outside the United States.
Trump and Clinton, who visited the 2000 event at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia, are the only presidents to appear while in office.
