Crouch sustained the injury during the second quarter of the grand final rematch.
By then, he had already had six kicks and seven handballs.
After being assessed by club medical staff, Crouch was iced up and took no further part in the game.
The Crows, which went on to win the clash by 36 points at the Adelaide Oval, also had other casualties including vice-captain Rory Sloane (foot), defender Daniel Talia (knee) and utility David Mackay (concussion).
Crouch’s teammate and brother Brad is currently sidelined with a groin issue.
After receiving All-Australian honours and winning the Adelaide best and fairest award in 2017, Crouch started the new season brilliantly with 41 touches in the round one loss to Essendon.
The 22-year-old was drafted from the North Ballarat Rebels in 2013.
