The young Miners went down to ladder-leaders Werribee Devils in their most recent hit out, after managing to defeat rivals Bendigo Pioneers in the opening round.
After a break over the Easter weekend, the Miners are set to return with home court advantage as they challenge a team sitting two spots below on the ladder in 11th.
Anthony Kuel, 27 points, and Ross Weightman, 23 points, currently lead the scoring for the Miners.
Meanwhile, Ballarat Rush is still searching for its first win of the season in Victorian Youth Championship Women competition after coming up just three points short against Bendigo Braves and six points short against Kilsyth Cobras.
Rush has had a tough start to the season playing against the two top teams, but will come up against the winless Dandenong Rangers on home court on Sunday.
