Claire Blower starred for Rush during Sunday’s Victorian Youth Championship Women round three game at the Minerdome, collecting 18 points and seven rebounds.

Maggie Tranter was another strong contributor with 13 points, eight rebounds and three steals, along with Laura Taylor, who managed 12 points, eight rebounds, two assists and three steals.

But it was a strong effort across the board that helped Rush get across the line.

It was a disappointing result for the Ballarat Miners in a round three Youth League One Men match against Sunbury Jets on Friday night.

The Miners went down to the second-positioned home side by 29 points, 106-77.

But the team bounced back on Sunday to defeat Camberwell Dragons by nine at the Minerdome.

Tristan Fisher collected a game-high 29 points for the Miners and six rebounds.
