Sebastopol Vikings coach Corey Smith has labelled this Saturday’s clash with FC Strathmore as his side’s biggest test of the Football Federation Victoria men’s state league three campaign.
Smith said given “unlucky” results – a round one loss to Fawkner and round two 3-3 draw with Essendon United – this weekend’s home encounter was extra important for his team.
A conceded penalty in the 93rd minute saw the Vikings share the points with Essendon United, which had trailed 3-1 earlier in the fixture.
Striker Kuanyjal Tuany received two yellow cards in that clash and will miss Saturday’s game against FC Strathmore as a result.
The match starts at 3pm at St Georges Reserve.
