Originally from Portland, Malseed, 23, earned selection for her first Commonwealth Games by taking out the national elite women’s road race championship at Buninyong in January.
She faces the starter at Currumbin Beachfront at 7.45am.
Malseed is part of a powerful six-member Australian team in the 48-strong field, with her teammates including road time trial gold medallist Katrin Garfoot, Chloe Hosking, Gracie Elvin, Tiffany Cromwell and Sarah Roy.
New Zealand, England and Wales are other countries with a full representation of six riders.
Malseed has spent most of her preparation for the Games overseas with United States professional team Tibco-Silicon Valley Bank, which she is in her first year with.
