The Ballarat boys are on a two-match losing run in the league and must travel to take on a team that has scored 22 times and conceded just five goals in 2018.
That record has Moreland City second on the National Premier Leagues Victoria 2 east division table, just one point behind leaders Dandenong City.
Gnjidic said Moreland City posed a huge challenge for his team, with the opposition having some quality players and high ambitions.
Moreland City’s big names include former A-League players Jesse Makarounas and Christopher Cristaldo, who joined the club for the 2018 campaign.
Ballarat sits seventh on the west table leading into the first of its cross-division clashes for the season.
“We had a good start and sort of come back into the middle of the pack now (so) we’ve got to try and claw a way into the top half again,” Gnjidic said.
Gnjidic said Shaun Romein was back in contention for selection this weekend after sitting out last round’s loss to Altona Magic due to suspension.
Ballarat City lost 2-1 to the Magic, which took all three points from the fixture following a winning goal in the 83rd minute of the contest.
Chudiar Tharjiath was the player to find the net for Ballarat.
This Saturday’s clash will be played at Coburg’s Campbell Reserve, with kick-off at 3pm.
After that encounter, Ballarat has a run of three-straight home fixtures at Morshead Park against North Geelong Warriors, Springvale White Eagles and Box Hill United.
