Only days after Maksymow and the Cobras parted company, the Swampies have taken a punt on the left-footer and will rush him into their line-up to play CDHBU at Henty on Saturday.
“Jarrah’s come to us,” Swampie coach Joel Price said.
“He knows me from our North Albury days, Chris Willis coached him at Culcairn and the Aboriginal boys at Henty were a big thing as well.
“He played in a flag at Bacchus Marsh with Damian Cupido and just thinks Henty will be a good fit.
“He’s got a job back here and we’re excited to have him.”

Maksymow was released by Bacchus Marsh this week with club president Adam Sutherland saying he was unable to meet the club’s training demands and team rules.
“He’s a likeable guy and has been wonderful for us, but we want 100 per cent commitment from our players and he has not been able to apply himself to meet club demands,” Sutherland said.
Sutherland said Maksymow had family in Albury and sometimes spent time on the Border.
Maksymow carries four player points and is expected to slot under Henty’s 38-point cap with Tim Brook spending most of the season with Northern Territory Thunder.
“I’ve had a couple of conversations with ‘Hoggy’ (Bacchus Marsh coach Travis Hodgson) who has coached him for the past two years,” Price said.
“His commitment and the way he has presented himself has been at a really good level.
“He’s a fantastic player and he’ll be really dangerous playing alongside Cupido.”
Maksymow kicked 52 goals for Bacchus Marsh last season and has previously had stints with Lavington, North Albury, Culcairn and Murray Magpies.
