Returning player-coach Hana Baker and her teammates will look to continue their finals bid when they meet Daylesford at home in Waubra on Saturday.
The Bulldogs, which have returned to the league in 2018, have faced some heavy defeats in the opening rounds as the players adjust to A-grade netball.
But for the Kangaroos, a different approach to preseason seems to be paying off.
Baker brought a new approach to training over the summer after undergoing coaching development sessions and said it had prompted a positive response.
The focus during preseason had been on netball-specific fitness, with Baker taking inspiration from Australian player Sarah Wall and Netball Victoria.
The sessions also catered for all fitness levels rather than the fittest in the group.
