The Vikings are booked to take on Point Cook, a team that was also promoted from state league three at the end of 2017.
Sebastopol gets back important forward Kuanyjal Tuany, who missed last weekend’s 1-0 win against Strathmore FC through suspension.
In that game, a first half goal from Will Georgiou was enough to secure all three points at St Georges Reserve.
That followed a 3-3 draw with Essendon United a week earlier.
Vikings coach Corey Smith said winger Dejan Mitrovic would miss the weekend’s encounter because of a hamstring injury, but revealed both Lee Stevens and Jack Mirabella would be available to play.
“They’re a good side. I obviously respect their ability after last year. People are talking about a rivalry, but I think that’s just another team now in that league,” Smith said.
‘It’s just another game, but the first away game so it’s a good chance to go and challenge ourselves.”
Point Cook finished the state league three season on top of the table, one point clear of the Vikings.
Both clashes between the two sides in 2017 ended in a draw.
In 2018, Point Cook has started with a win, a loss and a draw from the opening three rounds.
Saturday’s game will be played at Saltwater Reserve in Point Cook, with kick-off at 3pm.
After that fixture, the Vikings will return home for a battle with Upfield on April 28.
