The Lakies have not only started in a winning fashion, but with comprehensive wins of 33, 53 and 65 goals.
Granted Saturday's 79 goals to 14 win over Skipton was against a side that is in a development phase, the other two wins have been against Waubra and Rokewood-Corindhap - sides that were in and around the eight last year and have won its other two matches thus far.
After going down in last year's grand final, Learmonth is sitting pretty at the top of the table after three rounds.
The team that beat it in that grand final, Springbank, has also made an undefeated start to the year - although it has been made to work a bit harder. The Tigers registered a hard-fought five-goal win over Ballan on the weekend - coming off 20 and six goal wins previously.
Meanwhile, Bungaree and Clunes round out the four clubs yet to suffer a loss.
The Demons beat Hepburn by 11 goals on Saturday while the Magpies were too strong for Carngham-Linton 53-37. Rokewood-Corindhap also had a close contest - getting home by six goals over Newlyn.
Buninyong defeated Dunnstown by eight goals, the Towners slipping to its second loss for the season – two more than its entire 2017 home and away season.
Gordon defeated Beaufort by 17 goals while Waubra and Creswick had big wins over Daylesford and Smythesdale respectively.
