A man was winched to safety by a rescue helicopter after crashing his motorcycle amid rugged terrain in the Lerderderg State Park this afternoon.

Emergency crews were first dispatched to the scene following reports he had fallen off his bike on Amble Lane Track in Blackwood about 12.10pm.
Paramedics and police initially had trouble accessing the crash site, eventually finding the man who was injured and bleeding.
The man, aged in his 30s, was winched by an air ambulance helicopter about 2pm before being flown to a hospital for ongoing medical treatment.
"He has a serious leg injury to his upper leg and is in a stable condition," an Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said.
The area is popular with dirt bike riders.
