Not-for-profit organisation Jean Hailes for Women’s Health was booked out one month ahead of its evening forum, and instead more space has been found to help meet strong community demand.
Mindful eating, menopause, health checks and food and movement as medicine will be explored in partnership with Ballarat experts.
Jean Hailes executive director Janet Michelmore said there was a growing, general interest in food and mindful eating and demand for the event showed such health issues were important to Ballarat women.
The forum will focus on the latest evidence-based information. Women will have the chance to interact with industry specialists and connect to Ballarat services. BreastScreen Victoria will also be on site for information and mammogram bookings
Comedian Nelly Thomas will host the event, which also featured health resources and giveaways.
Women’s Stuff will now be held at Mecure Ballarat Hotel and Convention Centre pm May 23, 6-9pm (same date and time). Prior bookings are still valid.
