The Rebels produced a six-point victory over Murray Bushrangers, 5.8 (38) – 5.2 (32), and leapfrogged it on the ladder in the process.
Coach Rhys Cahir said knocking off a high-quality opponent was something the group had been building towards and an improved consistency and high-pressure game provided that.
"Our defensive pressure was really good, our tackling, smothering – all of that,” Cahir said.
"We were a bit more consistent with it this week. Their endeavour and winning the footy was outstanding.
"Every week they've improved, one way or another...it's more about the development and the improvement within the girls than winning games - but we're doing both at the moment, so it's good.”
