The streak began with Akzar in 2014 and also includes Tall Ship, Master Of Arts and High Church.
Ridden by John Allen, Gallic Chieftain ($8.50) held out stablemate Yogi ($4.40) by a short-head.
Weir, who also has stables at Warrnambool, said a lot of planning went into getting the right horse to the Warrnambool Cup.
"It's been a good race and we've had the right horses on the day. Luckily we got it right again."
Weir ended the three-day carnival preparing 12 winners, four on each day but fell short of the record 14 he prepared last year.
Besides Gallic Chieftain, Weir was successful with Thunder Cloud ($5.50) and favourites Furrion ($1.65) and Fifty Stars ($2.05) on Thursday.
Warrnambool jumper Gold Medals, trained by Symon Wilde, completed the Brierly Steeple and Grand Annual Steeple double.
