Phyland had his number taken in the Cobras’ 93-point drubbing of North Ballarat City and elected not to take the charge to tribunal.
Bacchus Marsh is fourth on the ladder after the opening three rounds of the season.
Meanwhile, Ballan’s Harley Bongart will face the tribunal on Tuesday night after being reported in his team’s 100-point loss to Beaufort on Saturday.
Bongart was booked for carelessly striking Crows assistant coach Nick Sullivan and has opted to challenge the report.
He is looking to be free to play against Hepburn this weekend, when his side will go in search of its first win for 2018.
