The speedy midfielder was selected with pick 11 in the 2017 draft after winning St Kilda Sharks’ best and fairest award in the VFLW.
She played a key role in the Western Bulldogs’ thrilling grand final victory over Brisbane Lions in March.
The Kangaroos, which have picked up several key recruits in the off-season, said Bruton will strengthen their roving stocks with clean usage around stoppages.
North Melbourne’s AFLW list manager Rhys Harwood told the club website Bruton’s vision and execution in tight was exciting and would add a different look to the midfield group.
“Jenna possesses a genuine step and importantly will be able to rotate through a number of roles,” he said.
“We’re excited to work with Jenna and we’re confident she will be a long-term midfielder for us.”
Meanwhile, former coach Paul Groves told the Western Bulldogs’ website Bruton would be welcomed back any time as a premiership player.
“Jenna played an important part in building our program during the second season of the AFLW competition, culminating in us achieving the ultimate success in 2018,” he said.
