Despite a heavy loss last week against Geelong, coach Guy Keane was pleased with the Sovereigns’ attacking game against a top four side.
“The girls were much more consistent with the drives to the ball and their control and decision-making skills in attack,” he said.
Express sits two spots above the bottom-placed Sovereigns in eighth with just the one win for the season.
“Both sides coming off big defeats in the previous round will be looking at putting together four quarters of consistent netball,” Keane said.
“If we can play with the same control in the attack end and build pressure on Express then we have another opportunity to continue developing as a group and put ourselves in the position to win the match.”
