Thompson was reported for carelessly striking Dunnstown’s Joe Stefani in the round six clash on May 12 and decided against accepting a set penalty.
He was given a one-match ban by the tribunal.
Meanwhile, Gordon’s Mark Gunnell will front tribunal on Tuesday to answer a careless striking charge from the AFL Victoria Community Championships clash against the Riddell District league.
It is understood the Central Highlands Football League has video evidence of the incident, which saw Gunnell reported and sent from the ground during the third term.
The key defender, who captained the Highlanders on Saturday, is hoping to be free to play against Skipton this coming weekend.
