Golden City Probus Club has celebrated its 25 year anniversary. Now members are hoping to see an influx of new joiners, in an effort to ensure the club’s sustainability.

Golden City Probus Club president Beryl Dodds said the club offered outings, activities and friendship for members, but needed a certain number of members to continue.
Member numbers have dropped in recent years from a capacity of 120 when Mrs Dodds joined to its current 86.
Members can join activities such as walking, theatre, movies, dining, exhibitions and mystery bus tours, with the opportunity to join trips like the caravanning group tours each year.
“We really notice that as people get older they stop driving and they can’t take themselves for outings like they used to. They enjoy having a trip organised for them,” Mrs Dodds said.
